Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs to identify changes in health status.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the wider care team to develop patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and assist in code blue or trauma activations as needed.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with an Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients as required by clinical duties.
