Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and monitor vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Document patient care activities, including charting and updating medical records accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care.
- Respond promptly to patient emergencies and assist in code blue situations.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred for new graduates.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-paced environment.
- Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and a commitment to patient safety.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.
