Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care Planning: Conduct thorough initial and ongoing assessments to develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Vital Monitoring: Monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and progress, reporting any deviations to the nursing team immediately.
- Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for patients and families, ensuring clear and empathetic communication regarding care plans and updates.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills and attention to detail.
- Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
