Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, alerting physicians or charge nurses to any significant changes.
- Document all patient care activities, assessments, and interventions accurately and timely in the EMR.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, medication management, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless continuity of care.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized nursing unit environment.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Colorado.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends as required.
