Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patient health status, including vitals, symptoms, and physical and mental condition.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established nursing protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and update individualized patient care plans.
- Document patient care services accurately and in a timely manner within electronic health records (EHR).
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding diagnoses, procedures, and discharge planning.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Respond to emergencies and critical situations with appropriate medical intervention.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts (or compact state).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or clinical setting (travel nursing experience preferred).
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems (EMR/EHR).
- Valid RN license number and proof of licensure.
