Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with established nursing standards and protocols
- Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring patient responses
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health records
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and preventive care
- Respond to emergency situations with swift, evidence-based interventions
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital safety regulations
Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license (or compact license)
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience in Med/Surg or ICU
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (EPIC preferred)
- Spanish bilingual skills highly desirable
