Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including physical exams, medical history reviews, and symptom analysis.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Monitor patient progress and outcomes, making timely clinical decisions to adjust care plans when necessary.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and self-care management strategies.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other staff to ensure holistic patient care.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Texas Board of Nursing.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical setting.
- Proficiency in navigating electronic health record systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
