Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized, evidence-based care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with hospital protocols and state regulations.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in condition or emergencies.
- Document patient care activities, observations, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide patient education and discharge planning to promote health maintenance and prevent readmission.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized nursing unit while adhering to strict infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems (EHR).
