Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians according to strict protocols and standards of care.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical condition, recognizing changes in status and intervening appropriately.
- Document patient care services in medical records and reports to the nursing supervisor in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to ensure a secure environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of North Carolina.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a high-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
