Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by licensed healthcare providers in accordance with legal and professional standards.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or deterioration in condition to the charge nurse or physician immediately.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and lifestyle modifications.
- Document all patient care activities, assessments, and interventions accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred (New graduates encouraged to apply).
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Proficient in computer systems and electronic documentation.
