Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vitals and respond immediately to emergent medical situations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and pharmacists.
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely medical documentation in electronic health records.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and disease prevention.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Illinois.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience (preferred).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
