Responsibilities
- Assess patient health issues by taking vitals, performing physical exams, and recording medical history.
- Develop and implement nursing care plans in collaboration with physicians and the multidisciplinary team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Monitor patient recovery progress and intervene immediately if any complications arise.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and post-care instructions.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients as necessary.
