Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians.
- Assess patient health status by performing physical exams and taking accurate vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Document patient care services, including changes in patient condition, in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in shift handovers and unit meetings to discuss patient needs and care plans.
- Adhere to all hospital safety policies, including infection control and patient safety standards.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California Board of Nursing.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program within the last 12 months (New Grad status).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital environment.
- Demonstrated compassion, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality care.
