Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care including assessment, medication administration, and treatment implementation
- Develop and execute individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
- Document patient progress accurately in electronic health records using Epic systems
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment protocols, and discharge planning
- Adhere to JCAHO standards and hospital safety protocols including infection control procedures
- Participate in rapid response codes and emergency situations with composure
- Maintain sterile environments and proper equipment handling in all clinical settings
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from accredited institution
- Active New York State RN license (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Recent nursing graduates with less than 1 year experience encouraged
- Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for diverse patient populations
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights and weekends
