Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient assessment and care planning for diverse medical cases
- Administer medications and treatments with precision while maintaining safety protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care during night shifts
- Document clinical observations and patient responses accurately in electronic health records
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism and critical thinking
- Mentor new staff and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Participate in unit safety rounds and compliance audits
Qualifications
- Active North Carolina RN license (or compact state eligibility)
- BSN degree required; MSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience with night shift background
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; TNCC/PALS preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/Cerner)
- Exceptional critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Strong communication abilities for interdisciplinary collaboration
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends and holidays
