Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vitals and clinical status, escalating concerns immediately to the charge nurse or provider.
- Document patient care accurately and promptly in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care during the night shift.
- Respond to emergency situations and assist with code blue events as needed.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Valid and active California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and maintain high standards of patient safety.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities.
