Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patients' conditions continuously, assessing vital signs and recognizing early signs of deterioration.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document patient data accurately and completely in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families during their stay.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, including code blue activations, utilizing ACLS protocols.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Texas Board of Nursing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients as required by job duties.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
