Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
  • Monitor patients' conditions continuously, assessing vital signs and recognizing early signs of deterioration.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Document patient data accurately and completely in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families during their stay.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, including code blue activations, utilizing ACLS protocols.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Texas Board of Nursing.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting.
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients as required by job duties.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
