Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the emergency department during overnight shifts (7 PM - 7 AM)
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions using advanced electronic health records
- Administer medications and treatments with precise attention to safety protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams during critical interventions
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control standards
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and families
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Texas (TX RN)
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 2+ years ED experience considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year acute care nursing experience
- Strong assessment skills and clinical judgment abilities
- Ability to work independently during low-census periods
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
