Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate patient care including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
- Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and patient condition changes
- Assist with medical procedures and treatments under nurse supervision
- Maintain clean and safe patient environments following infection control protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Support patient comfort and emotional well-being during daily care routines
- Complete accurate documentation in electronic health records systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Active Texas CNA certification or ability to obtain within 60 days
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (will provide training)
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate approach to patient care with attention to detail
- Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screening
- Commitment to continuing education and professional development
