Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing patient assessments.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and implement appropriate interventions to stabilize patient conditions.
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in accordance with facility policies and legal requirements.
- Administer treatments and procedures as prescribed by the healthcare provider.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and assist in the training of new hires during the shift.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills, especially in high-pressure night shift environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and families.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
