Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the nursing supervisor immediately.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living and personal hygiene.
- Document patient care activities, observations, and interventions accurately into the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and update individualized patient care plans.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide critical support during night shift operations.
- Educate patients and their families on discharge instructions, medications, and ongoing health management.
Qualifications
- Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as required by hospital policy.
- Flexibility to work rotating night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
