About the Role:
As a Night Shift Registered Nurse, you will serve as the primary caregiver for our patients during the overnight hours, ensuring safety, comfort, and clinical excellence. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care that meets the unique needs of our patient population.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans tailored to patient needs.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatments, escalating critical concerns immediately to the charge nurse or provider.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and effective communication.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, procedures, and discharge planning.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient environment in accordance with hospital standards.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
