Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to established nursing protocols and standards.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring safety and accuracy.
- Monitor patient vital signs and medical conditions, reporting significant changes immediately to the nursing supervisor.
- Document patient care activities, intake and output, and changes in patient condition accurately in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop individualized care plans.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment, and preventative care.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, especially in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
