Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and medical conditions throughout the night shift, identifying any changes that require immediate attention.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosages and documentation.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and patient education.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, utilizing critical thinking and clinical skills to stabilize patients.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and facility policies.
- Collaborate with the night shift nursing team to prioritize workload and ensure a safe, efficient environment.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing for the state of New York or North Carolina.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) is required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed (up to 50 lbs).
- Flexibility to work rotating night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
