Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in emergency, ICU, and med-surg units during night shifts
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for seamless patient transitions
- Respond to critical situations with calm efficiency and clinical expertise
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO and hospital protocols
- Preceptor new nurses and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active California RN license (BRN # required)
- BSN degree or equivalent experience with 2+ years acute care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (TNCC preferred)
- Proven ability to work independently in high-pressure environments
- EMR proficiency (Epic experience strongly preferred)
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills
- Flexibility to adapt to dynamic patient care needs
