Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patient vital signs and report any abnormalities to the charge nurse or physician immediately.
- Administer medications, treatments, and medications via IV lines according to established protocols.
- Document patient care activities, including intake, output, and changes in condition, in electronic health records.
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and assisting with mobility.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update individualized care plans.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff at all times.
- Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and health management.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed (up to 50 lbs).
