Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care, monitoring vital signs and ensuring patient safety during the night shift.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and nursing standards.
- Document patient care accurately and promptly in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and adjust patient care plans.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and alarms, utilizing critical thinking skills.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and post-discharge care instructions.
- Perform admission and discharge procedures efficiently to maintain unit flow.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Kansas.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or critical care setting.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift and move patients as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
- Night shift availability is mandatory.
