Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any abnormalities to the nursing supervisor immediately.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Document patient care activities, including intake, output, and changes in condition, in electronic health records accurately.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to provide holistic care.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and feeding as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment to prevent infections and accidents.
- Participate in shift handovers and nursing report to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing (RN) program.
- Unencumbered RN license to practice in the State of Illinois.
- CPR (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume medical setting.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
- Willingness to complete required hospital orientation and training modules.
