Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and hospital standards.
- Monitor and record patient symptoms, reactions, and progress by observing and reviewing patient information.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-treatment care.
- Respond to medical emergencies and critical situations with composure and clinical expertise.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and documentation.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Oregon.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting (preferred).
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff.
