Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with physicians and the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by licensed healthcare providers.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond immediately to any critical changes or emergencies.
- Document patient care services, including outcomes and responses to treatment, accurately in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health management, and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Kansas.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical nursing experience (preferred for specialized units).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment.
