Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs continuously.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately according to physician orders.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient care activities, symptoms, progress, and responses to treatment in the EHR.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Respond to emergency situations calmly and efficiently to ensure patient safety.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred; Associate's degree accepted for entry-level).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
