Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, monitoring vital signs and administering medications as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Document patient symptoms, reactions, and progress accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring a smooth continuum of care.
- Educate patients and their families regarding disease prevention, health maintenance, and discharge instructions.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies, adhering to safety protocols and hospital policies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California (required).
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; new grads welcome.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- ACLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a high-paced team environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods as required by the role.
