Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing comprehensive nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians according to hospital protocols and standards.
- Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, adjusting care plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Document patient histories, assessments, and care plans accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Respond to medical emergencies and crises with composure and technical proficiency.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license to practice in the state of Kansas.
- BSN preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment.
