Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians or licensed nurse practitioners.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities to the charge nurse or provider immediately.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies.
- Respond to emergency situations calmly and efficiently to ensure patient safety.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- BSN preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care standards.
