Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing comprehensive nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor vital signs and report any significant changes to the charge nurse or provider immediately.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic and coordinated patient care.
- Document all patient interactions, care provided, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment in accordance with facility standards.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California Board of Nursing.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (ADN, BSN, or MSN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred or required within 3 months of hire.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Willingness to float to other units as needed based on departmental requirements.
