Responsibilities
- Assess patients' health status by conducting physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and following hospital protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and changes in condition, escalating concerns immediately to the medical team.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Document patient care activities, including interventions, responses to treatment, and patient education provided.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
Qualifications
- Current and active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting is highly desirable.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
