Responsibilities
- Monitor patient health and vital signs, responding immediately to changes in condition or emergencies.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document patient assessments, care interventions, and responses to treatment in the electronic health record.
- Provide emotional support and health education to patients and their families.
- Ensure the nursing unit is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, protocols, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or medical-surgical setting.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
