Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct thorough patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and implement appropriate nursing interventions under the supervision of senior staff.
- Medication Administration: Accurately prepare and administer medications, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and patient records.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, patient charts, and shift reports in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Collaborative Care: Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Assist patients with daily living activities, ensuring high standards of hygiene and patient comfort.
- Crisis Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and assist in triage situations as required.
Qualifications
- Education: Must possess a valid RN license issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing (or eligibility for licensure).
- Degree: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications preferred; provided upon hiring.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and families.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift patients, and perform physical tasks required in a hospital setting.
- Attitude: A strong passion for patient care and a willingness to learn and grow within a high-volume environment.
