Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established nursing standards.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in condition or emergencies.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive care plan.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment by adhering to all safety and sanitation policies.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a high-paced environment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting, and bending for extended periods.
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
