Responsibilities
- Patient Assistance: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Communication: Communicate changes in patient condition and report incidents or concerns to the RN or LPN immediately.
- Hygiene: Ensure patient rooms and personal spaces are clean, safe, and orderly.
- Documentation: Accurately complete and maintain patient charts, flow sheets, and incident reports.
- Comfort Care: Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and families during their stay.
- Meal Assistance: Assist patients with feeding and ensure they have access to adequate hydration and nutrition.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Certification: Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required (or willingness to obtain within probationary period).
- Experience: No prior work experience required. We provide on-the-job training for qualified candidates.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and ability to use electronic health record systems (training provided).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs; ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Background: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
