Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care plans for patients in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate documentation and patient safety.
- Monitor patient conditions continuously and promptly report any changes or adverse reactions to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes and coordinate discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure all documentation meets regulatory standards.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and home care instructions.
Qualifications
- Active RN License in the state of Virginia (or compact state eligibility).
- BLS Certification required (ACLS preferred depending on unit).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods as required by the role.
