Responsibilities
- Assess patient health concerns, symptoms, and medical histories to formulate a care plan.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor vital signs and update patient records in the electronic health record system.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, medications, and post-discharge care.
- Respond to medical emergencies with urgency and provide critical care as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kansas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with patients and families.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with a focus on patient safety.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to professional nursing standards.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred.
