Responsibilities
- Direct Patient Care: Assess patient health status, administer medications, and provide treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitoring: Monitor vital signs and report any changes in patient condition immediately to the nursing supervisor or doctor.
- Documentation: Accurately maintain and update patient medical records and care plans.
- Collaboration: Work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency situations and assist in code blue situations as needed.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Assist patients with daily living activities to ensure comfort and hygiene.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Licensure: Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
