Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in accordance with hospital protocols and nursing standards.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate documentation and patient safety.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and medical conditions, identifying changes in status and notifying the appropriate medical staff immediately.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and home care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records, charts, and reports.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and critical care needs within the unit.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license to practice in the State of Arizona.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, with specific experience in Med-Surg, ICU, or Telemetry.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to professional development and adherence to hospital policies.
