Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care utilizing evidence-based practices and critical thinking skills
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document patient progress in EMR systems
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and preventive care measures
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and process optimization projects
- Mentor new nursing staff and contribute to unit-based education programs
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the State of Texas (or compact license)
- BSN degree required; MSN preferred for specialty roles
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience in relevant specialty (e.g., ICU, ER)
- BLS, ACLS, and specialty certifications (e.g., PCCN, CEN) required
- Proficiency in Epic EMR and other clinical documentation systems
- Exceptional communication skills and emotional intelligence
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
