In this pivotal role, you will serve as the first point of contact for our patients, utilizing your clinical judgment to assess symptoms, prioritize care needs, and ensure seamless communication with our medical providers.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments via phone and in-person triage to determine urgency of care.
- Apply clinical protocols and critical thinking to recommend appropriate treatment plans or immediate interventions.
- Document patient interactions accurately and in real-time within the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare staff to coordinate care pathways.
- Provide patient education and support regarding chronic disease management and preventative health.
- Manage high-volume call queues while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor under pressure.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of recent experience in emergency nursing, critical care, or triage.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Strong computer proficiency with EMR systems (EPIC, Cerner preferred).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient-centric care.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends as required.
