Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality direct patient care, monitoring vital signs and medical conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health management, and post-discharge care.
- Document patient care activities, including changes in patient status, interventions, and outcomes.
- Respond quickly to medical emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized nursing unit environment.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of North Carolina.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Computer literacy with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
