Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assess patient health needs, administer medications, and implement treatment plans under the supervision of physicians.
- Monitor Patient Progress: Continuously evaluate patient conditions and communicate significant changes to the healthcare team immediately.
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work closely with doctors, therapists, and social workers to ensure holistic patient care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, charting patient history, symptoms, and responses to treatment.
- Emergency Response: Respond swiftly to medical emergencies and assist in stabilizing critical patients.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active North Carolina RN License required.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift patients, and perform physical tasks as required.
- Technology: Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and medical monitoring equipment.
