Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized, evidence-based care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and in strict adherence to hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vitals and clinical status continuously; respond immediately to clinical changes or emergencies.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the multidisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Document patient care activities, assessments, and responses to interventions in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Provide patient and family education to ensure understanding of diagnosis, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Texas Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply with strong academic records.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced acute care setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with electronic medical record systems (EMR).
