Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and medical history reviews.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans tailored to specific medical needs.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatment, alerting physicians to any changes in condition.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, medication adherence, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license issued by the Tennessee Board of Nursing.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
